What Brower is better?
Many people I know on here knew I used Google Chrome with windows 2000, but I recently got a new pc is windows 2007, and I like the look but I am wondering if Google Chrome is in any way better, the only thing(s) I miss are: Google Translate, The typing in the address bar, and the tab moving. Let me know. Thanks!
Re: What Brower is better?

Each browser holds it's grounds. Google Chrome is fancy and (apparently) quite fast. Mozilla reads codes nicely. Internet Explorer 8.... is widely used (

Re: What Brower is better?
I use safari. Not only cause it's the default browser for mac xD
But because it's a webkit browser, and it's super fast!
Personally I don't like how google chrome lays out xP
Forget about I.E
Opera has this page compressor (I think) which loads pages alot quicker
Fire fox is great, with all the plug ins and all.
But overall, I prefer safari

I rarely use anything but Mozilla Firefox.. I tried installing Google Chrome on my laptop and it had so many bugs and problems, like my computer was allergic to it & rejected it like the plague , so I uninstalled it!!

I have been, and will always remain, a big Firefox fan.

Firefox for web developers and power add-ons. Chrome for speed.
And you mentioned Windows 2007?

Re: What Brower is better?
Internet Explorer is a shit hole, don't bother with it. Slow, outdated, and huge security holes.
Mozilla Firefox is your best bet. It reads almost everything perfectly and makes for the fastest, safest, and most powerful browser.
Google Chrome is okay. It's known for it's speed, which has been left in the dust by the new Firefox 4 Beta. It's user interface is horrible and I wouldn't recommend it.
Safari, never used it. You should stay away from this Macintosh heresy.
Opera, never used it either, but anything's better than IE.

Hello,
I know a lot of you have been talking about IE, and I wanted to invite you all to take a look at the IE9 Test Drive page ( ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/ ), and read about the new updates that IE has been through, and even test drive some of the browser features. For developers, you can test your HTML 5 code for compliance. There is quite a lot of info there, I hope you all have a look for yourself and see what’s coming very soon.
Cheers,

Yes, but the thing is it isn't even out yet, and all other browsers have been updated to use CSS3 since it has been put into practice.@KingOfSports wrote:Does IE9 support CSS3?
And I'm sure it will be the same old piece of crap that it is known for being.

Re: What Brower is better?
Google Chrome HANDS DOWN! Simple and easy to use interface, extensions library that, while not comparing to Firefox's, has all the essentials and more, and does infact read code very well.

Well good coders dont only use border radius Justin XD. And actually FireFox only supports "-moz-border-radius"
This is an example how I code:
- Code:
-moz-border-radius-topright: 8px;
-webkit-border-top-right-radius: 8px;
-moz-border-radius-bottomright: 8px;
-webkit-border-bottom-right-radius: 8px;
border-bottom-right-radius: 8px;
border-top-right-radius: 8px;
Covers everything and makes everyone happy.

Re: What Brower is better?
Well, what I was getting at is that corners and borders look ugly in Chrome.
Re: What Brower is better?
I say get as many as you can.
It's ridiculous the way things are set up now. stuff that works on one browser wont work or appear right on others.. and it's only like the last couple years this has started to get out of control.the problem is there are to many to choose form now and they are all competing with each other.
i have
IE8
FireFox
Flock
Google chrome
and am about to install Opera next. so lately to me they all suck.
i have to keep changing browsers for different things all the time. and it was never like this.. it used to be you had a couple to choose form like IE firefox. AOL.. lol and you would stick to that.. now these days the companies are just interested in getting people to use there browsers, so they can get more adds and other things off to make money.
then you have all this never endless updating.. i mean every time i turn around i have to update my flash or adobe on one browser or another. (plug-ins)
so it's becoming a real pain.. but what can you do you have to use something.. and things are just going to get worse with all the competition. or you will have to start paying for a premium service just to use a browser that works... lol i hope not.
So just go with what works best for you.. but have all others installed for back up or just to use when you come across things that are not working right.
And IE that used to be my main one.. i dont know what happen to them? they realy went down hill with the browser. IE8 still has many glitches but it's hard to use 7 because things like firefox that are built off of IE will not work correctly if you are not useing IE8.. so yeah big mess in my opinion but i think they are probably the worst browser out there now.. but yet i still use it.

Microsoft is just riding off Window's popularity. I think eventually Microsoft's empire will cave in on them because of their absolute neglect to make anything that actually works.
Google is quickly becoming the new Microsoft and will probably dominate the Internet soon because of the fact that they have the best search engine, a top level browser, YouTube, and a new operating system coming soon.
Poor Firefox is out there trying to make an awesome browser and isn't expanding into any other areas.
