Completely Deleting a Forum Empty Completely Deleting a Forum

Post by Gramagamus Online July 15th 2010, 10:15 am

Hey Guys Hello
This is just a question: Is it possible to delete a forum completely, even from the utils? I've got one forum I deleted months, maybe years ago, and it's still in the utils. I sure can't back it up, because firstly, I don't want it. Secondly, the backup doesn't go that far. I don't want this website to be connected to my email address if I log into the utils. That means it shouldn't let me log into the utils, as the forum is the only one I have connected to that specific email address.
ANOTHER THING: I have a forum that I've never, ever modified, and don't recall making under my main email address. I do remember what it was made for, due to the title of the forum, but I didn't ever use it. I can login to the utils for it, but not the forum itself. I also want this completely wiped from the utils/database.

Thanks!

Hello,

I'd imagine this is possible, but you would have to ask Typlo to do this for you.
(Remember he's still away for the weekend Razz )

I also requested for a username change. He's done that, but the forums don't seem to be deleted.

Go to the Utils and delete it from there too Smile

Otherwise, just wait and it'll eventually be removed Wink

Just wait for Typlo to delete the forum, it'll take time since he's been really busy from getting back and it's weekend.

I'm sure the mods will let the thread open unless it's solved, although, if you still haven't got the forum deleted, contact him again after 3 days or so Wink

well this is something typlo can only do.
cal has suggested deleting it from utilities, or go in and delete the forum your self and then you have to click on the conformation link that is sent to your email.

this should delete your forum.. if not typlo is the only one that will be able to delete it.

But i realy do not see why this thread has to be left open and continuing to get bumped with the same question over and over..try deleting the forum you self once again, be sure to click the conformation deletion link that is sent to you.. and if it still dose not delete for some reason then Ty will have to do it for you.

I can't delete either of them in the ACP. For Gaming & Everything, I've already done that, it still hasn't removed it from the utils. For Project Elite, I have access to the utils, but not to the admin account on the website. I must have used a different password.

We don;t know what Typlo has/has not read.

Just PM him around 6PM & you may/may not get a reply. Are you sure it hasn't already been deleted?
Also it's kinda pointless just bumping the thread seeing as this can only be handled via PM In my opinion.

Gramagamus Online wrote:have access to the utils, but not to the admin account on the website. I must have used a different password.

That's not posibil..the owners/admin account will be the same pass as logging into utilities. if you can log into utilities then you should have access to the forum acp.
If you have somehow changed your pass then send your self a new one and log in to your forum and delete it.It sounds like you may have never clicked the deactivation/confirmation link that is sent to you in the forums deleting process.

when you delete a forum forumotion sends you a link that you have to click on to confirm you want the forum deleted.

Gramagamus Online wrote:I can't delete either of them in the ACP. For Gaming & Everything, I've already done that, it still hasn't removed it from the utils.

See i am confused about this to?
what do you mean you cant delete either of them? either of what..
there is only one option to delete the whole forum and that will be located in.

Admin panel>general>forum deletion

then you have to type the word DELETE in caps as explained then click delete on the bottom right hand side of the page.it will then send a confirmation link to the email address the forum was created with.
