Content of my forum

Post by mokkelke on September 10th 2010, 9:34 am

i have been looking around for a long while now and i found forumotion the easiest to use to set up a free board.
however i do have a question which i can't seem to find an answer to.
we ourselves are responsible for the content on our boards, BUT what if the members of this particular forum are all writers in a certain area (Erotica, not porn, there is a difference) want to use the forum to exchange ideas, their own stories, etc(that would include links to our own stories on the site where they are submitted, that site is ok with the use of those links)
we know our content is +18y and we make sure you can only get onto the forum by invitation only.
when a "stranger" would stumble upon the forum he/she isn't able to tell what it is about. you have to be a member and be approved by the admin to have more access.
it is NOT our goal to advert publically what we do, hence all the max private setting being turned on.
all we want is a place to "hang out" and support each other.

so the main question would be: what would forumotion do with this kind of board?

Nopes, still the content is illegal. Hence, you are responsible for it even if the member posts it.

SO its against the TOS of Forumotion. Hence, Forumotion has the right & will delete the forum when it comes to their notice.
