Domain Name: External Control?
I just got the domain name booked. First question, how long (an estimate) will it take for us to receive the domain name? Also, is it set automatically, or does the founder have to activate it via the admin panel? (The domain is a gift from Forumotion.)
Next, can you externally control the domain? To be precise, could the DNS records be modified to the point, where I can still point it to another hosting provider and still let the domain name point to the forums? I want to make sub-domains, but I am not sure if there's any way to do so, without a transfer.
Thanks in advance,
~ Paint.

1) I think 2-3 working days. You don't have to do anything except checking this.
General>Forum Address
Personalized domain name tab
Force the URL redirection :
2) I don't think you can without a transfer.

Re: Domain Name: External Control?
1.) Thanks!
2.) Are you sure? I was thinking of pointing it to the hosting provider through the DNS records along with Forumotion so it will redirect to the forums, but I'd be able to control the domain via cPanel on my hosting provider. Alright, then. Thanks!
Edited: Don't transfers cost like $25 for Forumotion? I'm not sure. if it's not possible (Refer to 2), then I'll just stick with Forumotion all the way.
