Need help with subforums/tables
My forum discusses different locations in the US. I have it broken down to Northeast, South, Midwest and West coast. I need to put all 50 states into these categories but to make each one a forum or subforum would make my website page super long and I don't want that. What are my options? And I don't know jack about HTML and coding.....

To hide subforums, apply this settings:
Admin panel > Display > Structure & Hierarchy > Split categories on index : Set it to medium > save

I don't want to hide them, I just don't want a list of 50 states down the front page. I'd like to be able to click let's say "WEST COAST", and that take you to the next page that would list CALIFORNIA, WASHINGTON, etc. as separate forums.

I've been playing with the same concept: many forums listed without looking cluttered. Here's my test forum. Each little green ball is a forum. There's room for plenty more forums.

It's just a variation of this:

You mean tab that can link you to another set of forums? I guess that's not possible.shigs wrote:I don't want to hide them, I just don't want a list of 50 states down the front page. Re: Need help with subforums/tables
Basically, on my forum, www.myownrevolution.findtalk.biz, you can talk about different places around the world to visit, roadtrip to, etc. I have the USA broken up into 4 forums, Northeast, South, Midwest, and West Coast. I would like to add each individual state underneath each category but it makes my front page a mile long. I would like to be able to click on, say NORTHEAST, and it go to the next page that would have another set of forums for Maine, New Hampshire, etc. Either that or have a block of tables underneath each section of the USA listing the coinciding states in smaller font so that ir would organized and take up less space.
