Okay I am looking for something like a chatbox but not a chatbox.
I want the thing to have the following things:
1) Be able to have one on one chats
2) Create a friend list
3) Be able to talk to the friend list or create a room for a certain group of people
4) I do not want it to have a general chatroom function on it. Only private stuff like that. And I want every member individually be able to create stuff like that for themselves.

I want to put the thing into a widget or a toolbar at the bottom of the page. And I know there's PM system and chatbox on the forum but I want the one I want.

Can someone recommend some service or PM me some links, please.

there are many different chat boxes you can find or even different chat rooms you can add to your forum.

everthing from something like stickam.com
to meebo tinychat tocbox etc.. you can google it and you will find many different ones.
some free some paid.. i would just stick to something free and simple.. i have seen stickam used a lot on forums i have used it myself in the past and it worked well for me.

Thanks, kirk. I'll have a look at it. Do you know for sure if there's stuff like how I described out there?
Cause I had a look at many chat things and most of them are just chatrooms or you have to sign on those things using your other accounts and some require registering.

Well i dont think it will be posibil to find something like you are asking without at least haveing to register. but do a google search you might find something like that?

Okay, say I was to put the xat.com chat on my forum into display - homepage - generalities. How can I make the thing invisible to guests. Or control who can be in the chat?
