Hello,

I'm not sure where exactly you want the background. Try adding this code to your CSS...

Code:
.three-col td[width="100%"] table.forumline td.row1,
.three-col td[width="100%"] table.forumline td.row2,
.three-col td[width="100%"] table.forumline td.row3 {
background: red;
}
If you want an image as background, then use this...

background: url(IMAGE URL HERE) repeat;
