Remove Admin/Mod Text
I know one has to do with script and the CSS, but the other I was not sure where to post, so instead of wasting you good peoples time I am asking both here. I am trying to eliminate the status text for member, admin, mod, g-mod, and so on. here's an image of what I wish to not display:
I am trying to make the text go away since I added actual icons. I hope You understand what I mean here.
My second issue is that the custom locked icon I made for forums/categories never shows up when I lock them. I have re-added the image many times, and it does not show for categories or forums. What am I doing wrong here?
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
Hi, your title not being specific and therefore not facilitating research via the search option, I'm not answering (nor is any other member ) until you change your title to a more specific one, related to your problem
Why do we ask you to use explicit titles
Why do we ask you to use explicit titles
- Code:
The forum's search engine bases its research on keywords found in [b]topic titles[/b].
When you do a research, do you use "help", "urgent", "problem", "SOS" or "question" as keywords to look for topics about your problem/question?
Certainly not! So this is why it is important to use titles [b]related to your problem/question[/b]. Doing this makes the researches much easier for visitors who use the search engine to get an answer to their question.
Thanks for your understanding.
Cordially

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
1) Use
But this way, when you change the rank in the admin panel for a user, you will not see the text. You will need to choose & check.
2) I don't really understand it, screenshots will help.

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
Place that code in the rank title.
users & groups>Rank administration
Create a rank & Add the title as that.
Are you sure its locked? How did you lock it? I don't see the forum on your forum anyways.

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
Got the first part, and thank you very much.
2: Sorry about that, I create/develop and offer free content for Daz Studio and Poser, part of the keeping it free is that people have to register to access the downloads. So I have areas guests cannot view, and have it set so guests cannot see links or images. Anyway....
I locked it via the Admin Panel>General>Catagories and Forums> : Forum Status = Locked. I also set all permissions accordingly.

The settings you have made are correct.
Why do you need permissions, if the forum is locked?

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
I set the permissions trying to get the icon to show up. I do not know what the actual members see as I am not a member I am the owner/admin. I'll set an email and register as a member and see what things look like from that point of view. Then I'll know a little more ( I hope ).
I appreciate all the help Sanket. This is why I left my old host and came here, better help, and more professionalism.
I will get back once I have looked around as a member.

Re: Remove Admin/Mod Text
I figured it out. I had sub-forums that I never locked . I thought locking the main forum would lock everything, I was wrong. I fixed it. I locked everything up and the icon shows just fine as a member.
You can mark this solved, and thank you again for all the help and being so fast and efficient to help me get these problems resolved. I try to keep my forum/site clean looking and flow well. Forumotion has the best staff! Thank you again Sanket.
EDIT:
PS I am removing the images from my host since this is solved.
