Display ALL of Topic Heading Text on Last Post Link

On the category list page, I can't get all of the topic heading to appear on the Last Post Link. The field is wide enough (I changed the column width in the template), but it only shows the beginning of the text and cuts off with that dreaded "..." with loads of empty space before and after the text. I've been trying to fix this for days with no luck. What setting am I missing?
