Solved Question on New Users

Post by Maty on November 1st 2010, 8:20 pm

Hello, I'm pretty new to the forums but I'm trying to create one. I regsitered a new user to see what other people will see, but it says i need the Admin permission first or confirmation. I am the Admin. And i can't seem to find that option anywhere.

How do I let that new member in? And how do i turn off that option so members can register freely without an Admin confirmation?

Thanks,
Maty

Admin Control Panel - Users And Groups - User Options - Allow new members - yes
Admin Control Panel - Users And Groups - User Options - New accounts activation - User or Automatic, depending on your preference.

Oo! I see it. What is the difference of User and Automatic activation?

If you put it on User, the registered user has to confirm the registration via an e-mail that he/she will receive.
Automatic just activates the account the instant the Register button is pressed.

Ah thanks! Then User activation is better?

I already registered a new account before the change, do you know where I go to, to let this new user in? It had Admin activation when I registered it.
