Closing a forum

Post by IndestructibleGoddess on November 8th 2010, 6:21 pm

Hello,

I have not used forumotion for a very long time, but the site is still up. I never received an email about closing it. I do not use the email address I registered the site with. If someone could contact me about changing this so I can get it resolved, that would be wonderful. Thanks.

You need to contact Typlo and or you can ask him to delete it for you.

I have contacted Typlo and I received a confirmation email to my new address but all it did was take me to the admin panel. Why am I having a problem deleting this forum? Please, delete and remove the forum. When I go to the link I should read url not found or something to that nature. Please, remove this site, thank-you.

If you are the founder (I'm assuming you are) there's an option where you have to type "DELETE" in a box to delete your forum. I think it's under General > Forum COnfiguration, but I might be wrong.

It's under General->Forum->Forum deletion

You need to be the founder/owner/admin.

No need for emails just log in with your username and password.

There you go. I think you need to be the founder because I'm just an admin (not a founder) and I don't have that option.

right and after he dose that he will be sent a confirmation link to confirm the deletion of the forum.

OR you can always change the forums address,lose the link and it will automatically delete it's self after 6 moths of non activity.

but other then these two ways only typlo will be able to delete it for you

I have done all this. Nothing has changed. I am the founder. I sent myself an email and clicked on the verification, but it did nothing but take me to the control panel. There was nothing else.

I believe that means your forum has been deleted if the is nothing but the Admin Panel, which means no one can log on or register for that site.

I may be wrong but, I believe that may be the case

No, I can still go to the site. I had to log in on the site then log in the admin.
