Managing the security of the topic

Hi!

I'd like to have an "invite only" forum, or a "hidden forum". I need this because we're a large group of people who are working on a relatively secret project in our school (a project which seniors like to spy on). Basically what I need to know is how to make the forum hidden from search engines, how to make it inaccessible for non-member and how to make it so that new members will have to be approved before accessing the forum.

I much appreciate any help I can get! Thank you!

1. To hide forums from guests view, adjust these settings for the forums:
Admin Panel > General > Categories & Forums > Permissions > Uncheck the box that says 'view and read', do this to all forums so that no one can view the forums on the index > Save

2. To make activation of accounts by admins only, go to:
Admin panel > Users & Groups > Users Options > New Accounts activation : Admin >save
