Always notify me on replies is checked with YES on default?!

Me and my other admin searched the whole panel for ages, can't find from where to set the default on NO. It sucks because all my members get spammed on the mails on every reply to their post...

I opened everyone's profiles and setted it to No, but I can't keep doing that for forever.

Any help? I need the EXACT location of the option, not something like "find it in your panel"

I'm assuming you already looked through the settings? Have you tried "Activate Favorites functionality"? Favorites is basically the same as subscribing to the topic so that may help you.

Admin > General > Messages and Emails > Config.

Activate favourites functionality: No

I made a friend to post something, than I replied to his comment and he still got spammed. Than I was like "wait, he is already registered so his tick is already on Yes, so I will make him make new registration"

But he still gets spammed on the new registration after I disabled favourites functionality...

That's kinda annoying for all my members, so pelase some help, even if you think it's not that try replying...

There is no way to turn it off for everyone. Users will need to go to their profile and topics being watched and remove all the topics there. Then going to preferences // Look for Always notify me of replies // No // Save

So why this forum don't have that bug?

I think what Mario is trying to say is you have to tell the users to not watch topics unless they DO want to get spammed (I doubt it). Only the user can choose if he or she is spammed.

I get you, but this ANNOYING option is choosed with YES on default... and this is absolutely retarded in my honest option...

Also no, I can go to their profiles and tick it with no, so I can do it too, but it's REALLY annoying to do it every time someone regsiter...

Just make the users do it. Why do it yourself. You can always have a topic and tells users about it.
