Archive forum affecting user post count?

In our forum, we created an "archive" forum. Really it's just another forum but only the admins can access it, not the forum members.

In doing so, this would not affect a user's message count if a message of their's was moved from the general forum (where everyone can read the message) to the archive forum (where only the admins can read it), would it? It is my understanding that it would not affect the user's post count in any way but I'd still like to get some clarification on that.
