Non-Registered User Page
Hey, i was wondering how to make it so non-registered users only see a page that says something like "Sorry you are not logged in/registered and cannot view the full forum at this time" And no, i dont mean the box that scrolls with you when you dont log in, it would probably be in the permission section but i dont know what to try.

Re: Non-Registered User Page
Well when you go to create a category or a forum you go to the permissions for it and simply un check their name for viewing that forum so technically they can not see the forums.
ACP > General > Categories and Forums > Permissions > uncheck the view button for guests
ACP > General > Categories and Forums > Permissions > uncheck the view button for guests

Re: Non-Registered User Page
Ok, done, but is there a way to stop them from viewing the portal too? I cant find any check boxes for that and that’s the page where my chat is and I don’t want guests to see it....

Re: Non-Registered User Page
K, how about a way to make the box that pops up saying "you must log in" have a solid backround color? Otherwise the text there is illegible with my site's grey backround... -.-

Re: Non-Registered User Page
You can make a box popup with: ACP > General > Forum > Configuration > Scroll down and you should see: Login Popup > Click display as yes and you can type in a message for them.
I don't believe there is anyway to make it where when they go to your website there would only be a grey box but you can do what I said before and change the permissions where guests can see any of your forums.
If you do that thoughh make sure you include on your Login Popup that they must register to see the forums.

Re: Non-Registered User Page
I already have a box that pops up, but is there a way to make it have, say, an orange colored backround in that box? Because my sites backround is grey and so are the words in the scroll pop up box, so it's really hard to read.
EDIT: Yes, it is possible to have non-registered users only see a page saying "log in".

Re: Non-Registered User Page
Then simply go and edit your permissions for your forums and you can uncheck the view button for guests so they must log in or register to view them
ACP > General > Forums and Categorys > Change permissions for all of them > uncheck the view button for guests.
ACP > General > Forums and Categorys > Change permissions for all of them > uncheck the view button for guests.

Re: Non-Registered User Page
I don't see what the portal has to do with the guests and how it could benefit them either way but..
ACP > Modules > Portal Management > Structure > and you can click the
to change the permissions for guests.

Re: Non-Registered User Page
Ok, seeing as how no one seems to know how to do that, ill switch topics.
How about a way to make the box that says "Users Connected in the last 24 hours" so that it shows users from the last "____" ammoutn of time. That way i can set it to how ever far back i need.
