Solved <div> coding in the forum posts.

Post by fAIL gRAMMAR on December 11th 2010, 12:40 pm

We have HTML enabled on our forums (and all users have it enabled too!)

I'm just wondering how to make it so that when you make a new post, it automatically makes a post with this bit of coding added into the post.

Code:
<div style="background-color:#e9dfc5;">
<img src="http://i52.tinypic.com/2ut4z6c.jpg"></img></div>

Is it possible is all I'm asking? And if so, is it a CSS thing? Because I've never quite understood it to be honest. -.-"

Thanks for reading,

fAIL gRAMMAR.

You can add the image into the post background with this CSS:
Code:
.postbody {background: url(http://i52.tinypic.com/2ut4z6c.jpg) 100% 100% no-repeat;}
This will place the image at the bottom right of every post. Using "0% 0%" instead of "100% 100%" will place the image at the top left. Using other percentages, you can place the image anywhere you want in a post.

Solved Re: <div> coding in the forum posts.

Ok, so I have put the code right down the bottom, for easy access in case it needs to be moved. (You'll see why shortly! Laughing )

First Image is after I made a test thread to see if it worked or not. (Without altering the code at all)

Second Image is after I made a second test post and manually added the code into the topic then submitted it.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is there an explanation for this?

Code Reference from second post:
Code:
.postbody {background: url(http://i52.tinypic.com/2ut4z6c.jpg) 100% 100% no-repeat;}

Again, thanks if you can answer this problem for me. Smile

Only once in the CSS, and that was down the bottom of it. :S

Hate to bump this thread, but I found a friend of mine in our clan who has helped me fix it! Very Happy

It involved the template in display and about 2-3 hours of fiddling. XD

This is now solved.
