Calendar Widget Issues

I am having the hardest time getting our calendar widget to show the day that we are in.

I can get the posts and topics to finally show up correctly, but the calendar sill shows a day ahead of us.

I know that I needed to set the Time Zone appropriately from GMT (which for me is -8 hours).

Can anyone tell me how to have the calendar show the proper day for the time zone I am in?

or

Is there another widget out there that I can use on my forum that will link up with my events topic?
