Solved Members Automatically Added To User Groups (not a good thing)

Post by Gary December 15th 2010, 3:18 am

I created several user groups in a photography forum that are not about photography, politics being one of them.

I want forums available (like Politics) that they can sign up for if they want.

Problem is, some members get signed up when they do not want signed up. If the delete themselves, once they make a post in another forum, the software signs them up again.

Help! & Thank You.

Shrimpy you not allowed to say " May i remind you that posts made between 24 hours is not permitted ". That only for staff to said that.

ACP - Users and groups - Groups - Groups Administration - Pick the staff group - Modify - Check Group auto-subscribe and Minimum Posts

Actually any one is, it is just not smart to mean it in a backseat moderation way.

Your not allowed to back seat moderate Shrimpy & for other members too, It' the job of the staff so leave it to us/mods. We should get back on topic now.

A fly landed near the fruit bowl, so the logical thing to do was torch the house?

I think I figured it out (not the fly issue, the reason I asked for help) I had people listed as moderators for the user group they did not want to be a member of.

Sorry for any problem I caused, by asking a question one day and bumping the next.

Great software by the way! Congratulations to the development team here!
