Solved Could not obtain lists of topics to prune (CODE:FATP0002)

Post by rossrc on December 24th 2010, 1:41 am

I"m getting this error message when I attempt to goto a few of my forum sections:

Could not obtain lists of topics to prune (CODE:FATP0002)

Here is my Forum: http://nwgamers.forumotion.com

It happens on these sections:
General Discussion
Coordinating and Scheduling Games
Rules Lawyer
People, Places and Things
Once Upon A Time

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

can you get a screen shot of the error message?
do you have your auto pruning on or did you delete anything in your basket after the were pruned?

Not sure the whole (CODE:FATP0002) is throwing me for a loop.
so please post a screen shot so we can try to determine exactly what it is and if we can fix.
if not then it will be one for the techs to look at.

OK first lets try to Resynchronize your forum.

Go to

Admin panel>General>configuration

scroll all the way down the page and check off (Resynchronize your forum) then hit save.

Then if that dose not work you can try logging into your forums utilities and restore your forum back to like a day or two befor this problem started to occur.

Go to the link below and log in with the original email address and pass the forum was created with.
http://www.forumotion.com/en/utils/

then scroll down to (Restore the forum such as it was previously)

backup type = Full Back Up

Restore the forum such as it was = either go back a day or two.. i would not go back to far because you might lose a few post here and there.. if you added any custum codeing lately you can try the Remove HTML errors at the bottom of the page.. but i dont think it's that?
hopefully the resync or the back up will work.. then if not try the html and if all that fails.
then i will have to pass this on to a admin to put a request in for a tech. unless another staff member or members know what it is and how to fix. it's a new one to me.

So try that out then hit me/us back here to let us know how you made out with it Smile

Tried both, and neither worked.

Sounds like the devs will have to take a look.

Thanks.

and this is happening when you are logged in and try to click to any board?
I was clicking around as a guest and everthing was fine.

try setting you self up a test account as a regular member, and see what happens, then put your self in as a mod, then as another admin? it's a long shot i am just curious to see if it is coming up for reg members, or as a mod and other admin,

The whole message is rather odd to me, because the whole pruning thing.
Do yo0u have pruning enabled. if so turn it off, then try again.. i would like to try to get this fixed for asap because over the next few days the techs and admins that work for forumotion will be off for x-mas.. so even if you can get your self in as another admin to where it works that would be a temp solution until they get back.

But try try them things out first. and if no good i will send this off to typlos office and hopefully he will get it tomarrow befor he leaves for the holiday and weekend.

if it comes down to that pm me you email address that you created the forum with so i can send that off to him as well incase he needs it.. he wont need a pass so dont send any pass words. but like i said try them things out first and see if you can get you self in as another admin to where the problem is not occurring for a temp solution.

and turn the pruning completely off if you have it on. i dont get that error at all blackeye

I logged off and then back on, and now it seems fine.
Pruning was completely off, and I've never had it on before, so I don't know what it was.

Thanks for your help.
