Ads for Guests Empty Ads for Guests

Post by that70sguy92 January 2nd 2011, 2:24 am

Hello, my forum previously had the setting to include ads for guests, but a few weeks ago (maybe more) ads started showing up for everyone, even administrators. How did this happen? Is it possible to once again make ads only for guests?

you can try making ads for guests

members and admins only less ads like some times often they will show ads

if you want to get rid of it you have to pay money to get rid of it

good luck

Um... a while ago it was free to make ads for guests only. I'm not sure what you mean.

That option is no longer there. Is it only for founders now?

Not exactly.
It's only available for forums that have been around for a while, then it must be the founder.
New forums have "Minimise the display of adds" in that place instead.

I wish people did their research and knew that the adds management HAS changed... I get frustrated by this soo many times TT

Oh. That's not good for me. My forum has been around for more than a year, but our founder left us. Oh well, we will have to deal with ads.

I'm sorry for not knowing. I haven't been very active on the help forum lately.

If the founder has been gone for 6 months, you can have him replaced by a new founder:

Was aware of this change but I viewed his forum and saw it had 54688 posts so I assumed it wasn't new.

He logs in sometimes, probably so he makes sure he does not lose his position as founder.

Oh well, I guess I will have to ignore the ads.
