newbie need advice

right am just hope i posted this in the correct place but any way,so far like many other people here am quite happy with you guy's at forumotion
i just set up our club forum but thier is one thing i trought it should be a ad free.we got this anolling window saying that you got 1 new message at the start of signing in and logging out. is thier a way of getting rid of this? i know i have not of put it there and i am concerned of members clicking on this and they get scamed or attacked by a virus
