Assigning Multiple Special Ranks Empty Assigning Multiple Special Ranks

Here is a suggestion about ranks. Right now on our forums we are only able to assign one rank per person on the site. My rank is Administrator so I have that rank. However there are many sites like mine that for whatever reason have the need for multiple ranks. The biggest group of these I can think of are Gaming forums. To use my forum as an example our members have two sets of ranks. Ingame ranks and forum ranks. Here are some examples.

Forum Ranks:
Administrator
Moderator
Member
Global Moderator
Founder

Game Ranks
Leader
Specialist
Officer
Ambassador
Recruiter

I for example am one of the Leaders in a online game guild but I am also the forum Administrator. However that I know of you are only able to assign one special rank per person. I am only able to have an Admin rank gif or Leader rank gif I am unable to have both.

Even if you leave the forum ranks out some guilds have multiple ranks within their organization or game. For example I was with an organization where I had 4 different ingame ranks.

Leadership Council
Ambassador
Engineer
Inner Circle

Each one of those titles had a gif associated to it that looked like a military ribbon. The forum we used allowed to assign multiple ranks so when my ranks showed up in a post I had 4 Ribbons one right after another.

I am suggesting allowing more than one rank to be assigned to each person. It would really open up a lot of options with different groups.

You can emulate this creating a list custom field (wich only be editable by Admin)

Read this tutorial:

https://help.forumotion.com/t11187-personalized-profile-fields-warning-system

So, you can create an image list field, and set it only editable for Admin (because, if not, everybody could change the value of that field)

You could use it as your other ranks.

Its a way to simulate this you want Wink

As mentioned, this is already possible. I will be closing this thread, if you require anymore help on how to achieve this. You can make a thread in the Support category of this forum.

Thread Locked.
