Inappropriate Banner Ad

Post by cuthugas on January 7th 2011, 5:07 am

Hello,

I have created a forum for my state's largest non-profit writing organization. My problem is that one of the banner ads is very inappropriate. It shows a cartoon of a man flexing what is supposed to be a bicep, but the picture is clearly of a woman's bare ass. I have people under the age of 18 who will be visiting my forum, and I don't want there to be any questionable material. I understand that the picture is "supposed" to be an illusion, but seriously, it is obviously not a man's bicep.

Is there a way I can limit the type of advertising shown on my forum?

Yes, in fact you can make it so only guest can see it Smile

ACP >> General >> Forum >> Configuration >> Activate ads: Guest

and reduce the number of displays for images ads: Yes

TT As a matter of fact, that's no longer possible for new forums, please check your facts Wink

When you head to: Admin panel >> General > forum/configuration > Adds - Activate: Minimise the displays of ads = Yes & Save.

If you wish to completely remove adds, you must purchase their removal:
Admin panel >> Misc > Obtain credits > Purchase ; Then Spend credits > Adds removal.

I was not aware of the change of the ads. I am sorry for the false info and I will remember this. Thanks Darren Smile

if there is a add like that you have to get a screen shot and the link the add leads to so we can send the info to typlo to have it removed, i have never seen any inappropriate ads on forumotion, but if there is or are such ad's please send us the info so it can be removed.

Thanx
