mmm try as follows: go to admin panel - display - templates / general, enter to overall_header template, near the end code find this:
Code:
   <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="{MENU_POSITION}">
<tr>
<td align="{MENU_POSITION}"{MENU_NOWRAP}>{GENERATED_NAV_BAR}</td>
</tr>
</table>
Replaces with this:
Code:
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="{MENU_POSITION}" class="bgmenup">
<tr>
<td align="{MENU_POSITION}"{MENU_NOWRAP}>{GENERATED_NAV_BAR}</td>
</tr>
</table>
Now go to admin panel - display - colors - css stylesheet, and add this css code:
.bgmenup {background:url('LINK') repeat: padding-top:25px;padding-left:5px;padding-right:5px;padding-bottom:5px;}
In 'Link' put your background. Adjust the paddings for your like

The code CSS or template does not work, I do not see the background image.

the code works, but your backgrounds is too small
try adding this to the code:
Code:
background-size:100%;

this is CSS3 property only, better is use a image more bigger

Solved Re: That template is the nad bar?

Post by David2011 on January 9th 2011, 6:12 pm

I solve the problem.

Not does it use css. Only from the template.

Thank you very much!

Code:

<table style="background-image: url('http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/6622/fondonlargo.png');" width="245 px" align="center" border="0"><tr><td><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="{MENU_POSITION}" class="bgmenup">
<tr><td align="{MENU_POSITION}"{MENU_NOWRAP}>{GENERATED_NAV_BAR}</td>
</tr></table></td></tr></table>
Smile

If I could see the background image with CSS,
CSS is my preference.

EDIT: How do I make the image does not repeat itself in this code?
Code:

<table style="background-image: url('http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/6622/fondonlargo.png');" width="245 px" align="center" border="0"><tr><td><table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" align="{MENU_POSITION}" class="bgmenup">
<tr><td align="{MENU_POSITION}"{MENU_NOWRAP}>{GENERATED_NAV_BAR}</td>
</tr></table></td></tr></table>

about the problem of not viewing the background using CSS, it's weird, because i could see perfectly and was all the correct code (in your css), you should try to visualize in a different browser, reloading more at one time or even closing and opening the browser
