Widget Scrolling Latest Topics HELP! Empty Widget Scrolling Latest Topics HELP!

Hi, on my forum, we have a sort of blog-type/twitter forum, but are fully aware of the customizable blog feature that we've chosen not to use. I'd like to create a widget for the forum that shows the latest updated topics in our blogs/twitter-like forum so people are able to comment. Is there a way this can be done?
