Letting a mod edit an admin's post Empty Letting a mod edit an admin's post

Here's my dilemma - right now, an admin has something posted, but it's lock - but it's viewable to the whole forum. It's the type of post that needs to be kept updated, however, there's a mod that helps out with that stuff - is it possible to have the moderator edit the admins post?

If not, what kind of work-around could I do?

Hello black_pearlca,

To allow your moderators to edit an administrator's posts, you will need to give them moderation rights for the respective forum. To do that, please go to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Categories and forums (on the left, under Forum)
4. Click the permissions sign (Letting a mod edit an admin's post Perms) next to the forum you want your moderators to edit posts in (advanced mode)
5. Check for your Moderators group "Moderate"

Repeat for other forums if necessary. Or, if you want to designate a single moderator for a forum, please go to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Users & Groups Tab
3. Search users (on the left, under Users)
4. Search for the user you would like to make a moderator
5. Click the permissions sign next to their name (Letting a mod edit an admin's post Perms)
6. Check "Is Moderator" next to the forum you wish to give them moderation rights

Repeat this for all forums if necessary. Very Happy

Regards,
