Hello.

Normally, I directly ask Typlo for theme removal when I find a rip of one of my styles, but this time, I post this public message in order to make a reminder about respecting the style authors' works !

I am the author of the Valentina style which can be found... p
- on phpBB.com Styles Demo (phpBB3)
- My own website's phpBB2, phpBB3 and ForuMotion styles pages
- On my Hitskin profile

As the original designer, I ask anyone to keep the credits for any work derived from my styles, as a sign of respect of my work !

Since this skin, as presented, directly comes from the phpBB3 style, I remind about the terms of the GPL license !

The GPL license gives the right to...
- make copies of a work
- distribute it, with or without income
- study its sources
- make derivative works of it.

BUT, this license asks you to respect the following conditions :
- Keeping the original credits (i.e. Ishimaru Design) - You can however add a notice indicating that you modified it.
- if derived works are distributed, they must be released under the same license.


But in this context, the main problem is that you took all credits for this style and this is considered as a theme rip as one of the GPL license's conditions isn't respected ! You can indicate that you adapted it, BUT, you cannot remove the original copyright notice !

So I ask for the removal of this style as it is a theme rip ! I'll give you one week for replying before I directly contact Typlo !

And I strongly recommend you to document yourself about royalties regarding open source material ! That's not because it's open source that there is no conditions for using them ! If you want to learn more, I know a phpBB.com member that has a good knowledge in open source work licensing.
