New posts feature doesn't seem to be working.
Even when there are new posts and I haven't viewed them it still remains 'No New'.
Can I solve this?
Also, is there a chance of changing my forum version? It is currently PBB2 and I'd like to change it, but still have the info of the poster to the left and not the right. The only version that seems to have the info to the left is the PBB2 version.
Thanks in advance.

Re: New posts feature doesn't seem to be working.
Regarding your new posts query, new posts will only show up on your first login after the respective post(s) had/have been posted. If you log out and log back in, then the posts - despite them not being read by you - will not show up as new posts. If you don't understand, let me put it this way:
1. You log into your forum.
2. You see new posts but you don't read them.
3. You log out of your forum.
4. You log back into your forum.
5. The new posts will not show up anymore even if you haven't read them.

Thanks, that makes sense.
Not suer I logged out though so to be sure I just resynced the forums anyway.
What will happen if I click on 'Delete the forum cookies'?
Will anything bad happen to my forum?
It isn't in my admin panel, but at the bottom of the forum.
thanks.

You are just clearing out the data that keeps your info about what you load etc... Nothing will happen if you delete it.

Re: New posts feature doesn't seem to be working.
Thanks MrMarkie.
Very helpful, and to the other posters.
Just to ask, can I change my forum version, but then edit the style by doing something so the info is to the left not the right?
Or is it just a case of the info being to the left on the PBB2 version only?
thanks.
p.s - would be helpful to have another version because of the added benefits other versions have, but it is a must that the info is to the left and if it can't be then I'll just stick with PBB2.

In ACP>>General>>Forum>>Configuration....Pages Structure you can choose to put the profile position in the messages on the left or right of the pages in all forum versions.
