Solved LInk forum to domain

Post by BeadThrilled 14/1/2011, 15:13

Likely it's been asked a million times before, but I need to be sure as I've got quite a few members using my forum and don't want to interrupt, if that happens, them too much.

A redirect of my forum 'beadthrilled.actieforum.com' then showing 'www.beadthrilled.com/forum' in de URL address is possible?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried it? I think that will work and will be redirected to your forum index.

Solved Re: LInk forum to domain

Today I learned it can not be directed to 'www.beadthrilled.com/forum' but only to 'www.beadthrilled.com'.

If I change at the ACP -> Forum address to 'www.beadthrilled.com' it won't give any problems? Will the portal be shown first, or the forum index? Or nothing?

I suppose I can still use credits to wipe advertisements from this address?

TIA!

The option to have /forum /gallery is for domains that have been bought from Forumotion.

Let me rephrase the question.
Can I run beadthrilled.actieforum.com on my domain www.beadthrilled.com ?

Cause from the ACP where is states "You can have one in the credits management, either you can indicate below a domain name that already belongs to you and which you have configured to use with your forum." I read that that I can have beadthrilled.actieforum.com on my domain www.beadthrilled.com.

Hope to hear back soon! Thanks!

I'm still hoping for a definite answer.
I can't risk my members can't get to the forum because of re-addressing it to www.beadthrilled.com when it won't work.

TIA!
