Solved Problem Separating Stickies.

Post by birdguy February 10th 2011, 1:23 am

Hello all,

I hope someone can help me out...I am having troubles separating stickies from regular posts. I have tried to separate by tables, line... Nothing seems to be working.

The stickies get pushed down by new posts.

I have spent a fair bit of time trying to figure it out, I'm stuck! Confused

Thanks a bunch in advance! Smile

It is new, so there is not really anything going on, lol. I don't want to promote it till it's o-k.

You can see what I mean under "What's Happening..." The Avatar post has over taken the sticky. Also test posts have produced the same result, including by a regular member.

Thanks again!

Apparently I had not even created a sticky, "sigh." (It's been a long day)...I had only locked it.

Now I'm trying to set it as a sticky, but I can't see the options at the bottom to do so. The "Option" box is there, just the word though... I can't seem to set the first post from edit mode. I must apologize for the silly questions. I am just a little stumped right now.

Regards,

Thank you

When you go to start a topic, scroll down a lil and look for the little minus - icon, click that and you should see your sticky option and others.

if you dont see the icon, then mouse over on the right hand side and it should highlight so you see it.. if you cant see it then you will have to change the icon in your mini icons in pic's management.

@KirK,

Sorry for the double post...

It is not there for sure. I know where to change it, just not what to change it to. I tried a few things from other posts, but no luck.

Thanks again.

I think someone else had this problem with the same skin before.

can you give me a screen shot of your topic starter/subject board page.

And be sure you have the permissions set in the acp for your forums to.
but if your the admin then they are already set.
