Activating New Users (sorry do not exist)
Hi
I have a new forum and have started inviting members. It is a private forum, and I want it so I approve applications to join.
So I have set it from ADMIN/USERS & GROUPS/USER OPTIONS/New Accounts Activation
I have checked the Admin button.
In my email box I get TWO emails when someone joins. One I click though and it shows the brief sign up profile.
The next email Links me through I am assuming to approve the application and all I can see is this
As far as I can tell the new user is approved regardless.
Is there something I am doing wrong.
Also
1) how can I set it up so that all users can see the membership list
2) Can I create a LOG OUT button for people. - At the moment they have to clear cookies to sign out of the forum.

Hello,
For the very 1st question, can the member that you got this message can log in or does that member doesn't get any log in problems/complaints?
1.Make sure you have a navigation bar image on: Admin Panel > Display > Pics Management > Advanced Mode > Search for 'Memberlist' area and upload an image there.
2. Same for my suggestion to your question no. 1, make sure you have an uploaded image on your 'log out' area, if you don't have, you need to upload a navigation button there.
You can also find navigation bars on our graphics gallery

Re: Activating New Users (sorry do not exist)
Ok... I am confused (it doesn't take much).
regarding the members list.
Admin Panel > Display > Pics Management > Advanced Mode > Search for 'Memberlist'
I can get to all this..... am I to make and host somewhere and image of all the members??????? What I was looking for is.... when a member logs into the forum, he or she can click somewhere and see the list of usernames... so they know who else can post. If I make an image of a list of names.... I would have to create a new image every single time a new person joins and I approve them.
What kind of image am I to upload to the log out area? Where is the log out area? Currently people can get into the forums, and then spend half an hour searching for the log out and give up.
What am I missing?
Sorry to sound stupid... I am trying and I have been searching for answers as well as posting here.
The newest members... who have joined and I have approved, I have yet to hear back from. I am not sure if they can get in or not. I have sent emails to ask if they are having issues and I have not heard back yet.

Hello,
What you just need is to put a 'member list' button on your navigation area where if members click it, they will see the list of members, same as to your log out button, example is this:
and this for the log out button:
2. For the 2nd question, if you think that their accounts have not been activated yet, go to Admin Panel > Users & Groups > Inactive users, activate them there, otherwise, it's normal if members are getting inactive, almost all forums can't live without inactive members.

Thank you!
Now I understand.... And I can manage this
Very appreciated.
How do you stay patient, calm and not hit your head on the computer desk dealing with people like me?
