Problem to solve (SOLVED) Empty Problem to solve (SOLVED)

Post by Vito-UFA February 18th 2011, 21:27

Ok so here is my problem.
We had a forum league at www.ufa-league.com and few days ago forum just ceased to exist. I was running it with in cooperation with some guy he was an admin of the site i was just mian mod. and one day forum just disappeared.
If you type it this addres in the browser message appears:

"The forum www.ufa-league.com doesn't exist.Verify the internet address you typed : www.ufa-league.com,
and try again if there is a mistake.
It is possible that the administrator has chosen to delete it."

The thing is this guy who was an admin of that forum told me that forum was shut down by forumotion staff due to the as he told me:
"The forum was shut down due to pornographic material and copyright infringement."
Is this possible ???
He put all blame on one of the members of that forum and im trying to figure who is lying.
Is this possible that forum was shut down of that reasons ? Or he just deleted ?
The thing, stuff that does not give me a break is this message what left after old forum:
"It is possible that the administrator has chosen to delete it."
Please help me anyone. Thank you in advance.

Vito-UFA when you post a topic on here you need to have a descriptive title. so other members with a similar problem can find it.

If On-Line Guardian had blocked it, you would see a notice from them telling you so. It appears to me as if it has simply been deleted.

OK description added sorry for that but im new to the thing.

So in your opinion the forum was deleted by the admin ?

If i can ask what is "On-Line Guardian" ?

And in my opinion this was exactly like this, that he simply deleted, but i would ike to be more sure about that, and im also thinking if site would be deleted by forumotion or what ever what he saying pornography or copyright infringement we could find some info about it am i right ?
but it simply saying that address is wrong or was deleted.

You cleared a bit situation for me but is any other way i can find out more abut it ?

What had to happen to forum would be deleted by forumotion is pornography pictures are realy an issue ?
Or copyrights i see many online forum leagues using trade marks on their forums as in signatures banners or on the posters and still existing.

I realy dont want to punish this guy which is accused if he is innocent as same as i dont want to feel like liers puppet.
I see you know lot more than i do if you could answer on my other questions i would be glad.
thank you good man.

Hello,

Are you the founder of the forum? Or if not, the founder might have deleted it, I don't see the forum being banned by online gaurdian, I'm not sure but since you received a confirmation that your forum has been deleted due to pornographic content/copyright infringement, then the case might be right, you can also read info about online gaurdian here:
https://help.forumotion.com/t69823-onlineguardian-what-to-do

If your not sure if your forum was banned or deleted, I suggest you to contact Typlo though I cannot ensure you that he can answer your question via pm, because we don't answer support requests on pm, but in case, he may be able to help you.

He was only admin of the site, i was just main mod, i didn't have an access to administrtive panel and all informations i could read about it, were here at www.ufa-league.com on this what is left after forum disappearing.
Edit:
ok i have read about it Online Guardian and thing i understood is that if forum breaks any of (ToS) like in this example
- Sexual and/or pornographic content
- Copyright infringment
as admin told me,
if the Guardian cause it any informations should be displayed about it right ?
but our forum just disappears immediatly (basicly when i was there, i was updating the results and bang the forum is gone) thats what wondering me the most, i heve huge reasons to think that he just deleted it but i would like to be more sure if i want to go official with that info for the rest of the guys.
As im reading, if the (ToS) are broken is still a chance to get it forum back right ?
Guardian not deleting it immediatly its taking few days to make final decisions is that true ?
Im very close to be sure lets see if Typlo can add somethign from him to make me more sure than i am.
P.S.
Thank you for any help so far, definetly this is the best support which I dealt with.

Well, I think that only the founder or administrator can retrieve the forum. He/she can do that by contesting the decision made by OnlineGuardian. Wink

What I think about this situation is the founder of the forum deleted this site since there's no 'online gaurdian' note when you enter the link.

And when a forum seems to violate the TOS and been banned by Online Gaurdian, there is 99% chance that the forum won't be unbanned. But you can also contest the decision, prove that your forum doesn't contain/violate the TOS.

You can't also bring back deleted forums... even using the back up system.
