Amount of posts to read a thread.

Is is possible so that when a member joins they have to have a certain amount of posts to be able to view/comment on a thread?

Hello Minimj,

Unforunately, I don't think this is possible. However, you can have "restricted forums" in which a member must have a certain amount of posts in order to have read access in that particular forum. This would be suitable for your problem as you can post that certain topic in that forum.

The guide is slightly outdated (but I will update it! ) and you may need to do some additional steps i.e. number of posts needed to auto join that group.

That means I would have to add a member to the group every time he/she reaches amount of posts or can it be done automatically?

Hi Mini i had problems with doing that too, took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to get the settings right if you need help i can explain to you how i did it

Took me a second to figure out how to set the permissions so that it was not visible to people under a certain post count
