About a forum deletion
Hi guys. Here's what it's about in two words.
The forum I'm talking about (http://sedai.forumsline.com) has been deleted yesterday because the two administrators got angry with each other, and the founder decided to take out the admin rights from the other and then to delete the forum permanently. We tried to ask the founder if she could at least give us some time to copy our most important posts, but she didn't want to listen. The forum is about a fan-fiction writing, we have dozens of people who have been using and still use it, with hundreds of good posts, suddenly we found all our work erased from existence. And now, since our other admin doesn't have access to the recovery tools, we cannot reach the forum by any means and cannot recover everything we've written for almost 4 years.
So, I'd want to know - is it possible to ask Typlo to transfer the founder rights to the other administrator, so she can use the recover tools and get back the forum working, or maybe to recover the database in its older adress or somewhere else at least temporary, for 2 days or so, so that all our members can copy their most important works and posts from the forum?
Thx in advance

Nopes, its the property of the founder. He/she has every right on deleting the forum whenever he wishes without any prior notice. The forum cannot be retrieved back in this case since the forum has been deleted by the founder himself.

OK then, shouldn't this be regarded as a special case from the ones where the founder is absent, and all other members want to give the rights to the other administrator? (taken from here). Since the founder has deleted the forum, it's certain he can't return in the next 6 months, and all our members will agree to transferring the rights. AND even if he returns in the next 2 months, he can asks for his rights any time and delete it again if he likes, we will already have copied our work.
And besides this, if we can't ask for transfer of the admin rights, I think we can ask at least for an opportunity to get back our work. The rights of the forum belong to the founder, yes, but the database and everything in it belongs to forumotion as written in here, so only FM decides if the forum database can be recovered. And I ask only for its recovery for few days, no need for permanent recovery.
Don't you think our members deserve a chance to have their work back?

Re: About a forum deletion
That was mentioned in the tutorial. In your case, the founder just did not leave the forum. He deleted it. So thats really not possible.- You are part of the administration of a forum and founder wants to leave the forum.
As for asking for an opportunity to get back your work. It depends whether Typlo wants to do it or not. I am not the person to talk on his behalf, although i think Typlo won't do it.
Well, i know how it feels to lose work due to a Admin gone crazy. But, forumotion has to work under some common guidelines & cannot make exceptions for any.
