Anyone can edit warning bar?

So I put moderators can edit warning bar.....but now other user groups can edit it? How i fix this

If any groups have moderation powers, then they are classified as "moderators" themselves; thus giving them powers to modify the warning bar. The only way to allow just the moderators group the modify the warning bar is to remove the moderation powers for any other user group.

I have a group called Junior Designer....they dont have any mod powers!

their just a different gorup and colored...

And can they edit the warning bar? Who else can edit the warning bar?

Yes, any group that is made, can edit the warning bar.

That's impossible unless a group has moderation powers. Have you checked that your group doesn't have moderation powers ANYWHERE on the forum? Also, make sure you uncheck "member himself".

Yes, member himself is on......and moderator box is omn...


however a random user group and edit a profile of anyone! Pelase help

My apologies, I was meant to say uncheck member himself. Only have moderators check if you want to restrict it to only moderators editing the warning bar.

The odd thing is....any group member can ban people too?????

If any groups have any moderation powers to any forums on your forum, then they will have the option to ban members and to modify warning bars.

How I check powers?

You can check to see if they have moderation powers by going to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. General Tab
3. Categories and forums (on the left, under Forum)
4. Click the permissions sign () next to a forum
5. Check to see if the box "Moderate" is checked for any groups

Repeat for all other forums as necessary.

Went through everyone, and only global moderators has powers not Junior Designers.

I tested something, and every time I check moderator to the profile fox, then this group and any other can edit warning bar....but when I leave it unchecked no group can edit warning bar

So, im thinking it thinkts its a mod
