Renew Free Domain

Hi. I would like to ask some help:

2 or 3 years ago I was awarded with a free domain (www.rukongai.net). For the last 2 years I've renewed the domain with no problems, by replying the GoDaddy.com email I received and following the instructions. However, this time I did the same thing and my domain was not renewed (I received the accountupdate e-mail two times and replied two times with no effect). My forum is still pretty active. Could someone tell me what happened?

You don't have control over the Godaddy domain. You must renew it via the admin panel in the misc tab

Thanks for your reply. I've checked the misc tab and it says I need 1600 credits to renew the domain. That was kinda unexpected because I remember that one of the administrators (Typlo? I do not remember..) once told me that as long as my forum remains active the domain would be probably be renewed for free.

Normally if your traffic isn't at 0, they are always renewed for free.

Sorry to bump this thread but I sent Typlo a pm and he did not reply. My forum was pretty active and now is almost dead because most of the users think the site is down. I just want to know if I still have any chance of getting my domain back for free.

wait so a domain is 1600 credits how much is that in money

Around 21 USD last time i checked.
