Solved Re: How do I change he exsting rules?

Post by Base on March 13th 2011, 1:04 pm

Hello TDonald,

First of all, your forum version must be phpBB2 or punBB. If your forum falls into either one of those version, then you will need to head over to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Display Tab
3. General (at the bottom, on the left, under Templates)
4. Click on the modify sign () next to agreement

Here is the code that you are presented with:
Code:
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="0" align="center">
   <tr>
      <td><span class="nav"><a class="nav" href="{U_INDEX}">{L_INDEX}</a></span></td>
   </tr>
</table>
<table class="forumline" width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0">
   <tr>
      <th class="thHead" valign="middle" height="25">{SITENAME} - {REGISTRATION}</th>
   </tr>
   <!-- BEGIN switch_fb_explain -->
   <tr>
      <td class="row1" align="center">
         <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center" id="fb_explain">
            <tr>
               <td align="center" width="10%"><img src="http://illiweb.com/fa/admin/icones/big_ico/warning.png" alt="" /></td>
               <td class="genmed align_gauche" width="90%">{switch_fb_explain.FB_EXPLAIN}</td>
            </tr>
         </table>
      </td>
   </tr>
   <!-- END switch_fb_explain -->
   <tr>
      <td class="row1" align="center">
         <table width="80%" border="0" cellspacing="2" cellpadding="0" align="center">
            <tr>
               <td>
                  <div class="genmed align_gauche">
                     <br />{AGREEMENT}<br />{MY_RULES}
                     <br />
                     <br />
                     <div align="center">
                        <a class="genmed" href="{U_AGREE_OVER13}">{AGREE_OVER_13}</a><br />
                        <br />
                        <a class="genmed" href="{U_INDEX}">{DO_NOT_AGREE}</a>
                     </div>
                     <br />
                  </div>
               </td>
            </tr>
         </table>
      </td>
   </tr>
</table>

What you need to do is find {AGREEMENT} and then replace it with your own rules. Don't forget to publish it afterwards! Smile

Base

It's at the bottom of the display tab, under the Templates section. Are you using advanced mode of the administration panel?

I believe that you are not the founder, correct? Editing the templates is only available to founders, I'm afraid. Smile

That's right, you'll have to log into your "Admin" account which is your founder account.

You're welcome! Glad to be of your assistance.

Simply replace {AGREE_OVER_13} with something like "Register". Smile

You are replacing {AGREE_OVER_13} and not {U_AGREE_OVER13}, right?

For this part:
Code:
      <a class="button button1" href="{U_AGREE_OVER13}">{AGREE_OVER_13}</a>

If you want it just to say "Register", then please replace it with:
Code:
      <a class="button button1" href="{U_AGREE_OVER13}">Register</a>
