Getting pages to show beside the forum? Empty Getting pages to show beside the forum?

Post by kvance March 12th 2011, 23:18

Alright, so I want to create two special pages and I want them to show on the main page (with the forum) but, everytime I create the widget, whether it's a custom or premade one, it doesn't allow me to have these select pages on the front page on each side of the forum. The only ones I'm able to get to show are the calendar, and all the other ones that are already there. Is this even possible? This is my forum, if someone needs to take a look at it before trying to help with what I need.

When you say you made pages, are you talking about HTML pages?

Actually no, I should've been more clear. What I'm wanting to do, is add widgets/modules to my forum but, I want them displayed on the same page as my forum. For some reason, only certain ones are allowed to be visible on the same page as the forum. Like recent topics, top posters, calendar etc. However, I wanted to create a news widget and a custom one, then display one on one side of the forum body, and then one on the other. When I go to do that though, they don't let me choose the option to, instead it wants to to have it be on a specific forum topic.

EDIT: Kind of like what's done on the right side here. The superstar of the week thing

Oh..

Well that stinks.

So there's no way at all for me to make a custom one and have it display on the forum front, just the select ones that are accessible already?

If so, alright, thanks.

Alright I'll try that. Now, do you think you could help me with something else. I'm trying to make a news section and want to make a button for it but, I'm not sure which font style my forum layout uses. I'm pretty sure I have it but, I can't find a match. there's a link to my forum if you can help. Or, if there's some way to find out the font, and you could direct me to it, that works too. Thank you
