Can't load forum or post most of time

Hi

This is the message I had off one member, although I am sure its the same for another:

'I am still having major problems with posting. I find I can make probably max 2 posts a day rest of the time I just cant post anything it jut says loading. Ive tried the following :

- Using firefox, internet explorer and google chrome - makes no difference
- Clearing cache, cookies and browsing history even though my settings are set to clear it automatically.
- Completely switching laptop off
- Created a new Banda profile'

I have resynced the forum and her user, still no joy, so it would appear to be something on her machine? Any ideas what might do this please?

Description: The server "link" closed the connection before the transaction was completed.

Well that error suggests it was something on forumotion's end. The only other thing I can think of is that you member has a very slow internet connection (try to tell the member to log in from somewhere else and see if the problem is still there??)

Hello,

Is the issue happening with most of your members? I can open your forum and it's fine/loading fast even with my slow computer.

Hi Guys,
thanks for replies - that exact error message was just one member - as it happens I told her I thought it was her machine with a problem, so she tried another and it worked perfectly - she ran a deep virus scan, found an adware virus and removed it, and now the forum is working perfectly on her machine!

Now of course I cant say 100% that this was the issue, but on face value it appears to be the case.

I have another couple of members who have intermittent posting problems similar to this so I will ask them to check that too.

Other than a very few members the forum runs great.
