I am monitoring research based forum


I am facing these problems

1. How a member can protect his post with permissions or money( virtual) for example


You will have to need 100 permissions and 10$ to see this post.

2.After hiding the post there should be written like

"You should reply to see the hidden contents"

3. In my forum thread and replies are counted as post. How to separate thread and replies

1. They cannot protect their own posts like that. You will need to either make a restricted forum for members who have paid or make it members-only to see links. More information on restricted forums: https://help.forumotion.com/t38399-restricted-forums

2. A similar message, "[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]" will be displayed for those not logged in if you choose to make it members-only to see links.

3. Not possible, sorry.

It's hard enough getting members to be active on join forums at times,
and you will ask them to pay to see content.. thats pretty hard to do, but not impossible, if someone is willing to pay then they would.

But basically what bass had said would be the only way.
You would be better off just charging a small fee to join your forum through paypal or something.. but once again it's a hard sell,because most people would not pay to get in or on a forum thats other wise free.
