Verify ownership with metatags

I followed both your tutorials of how to verify the ownership of my forum on Webmaster Central.

I keep on getting these errors:

"Come back to the admin panel of your board>>>Display>>>Homepage>>>General. You will see a box for meta tags. Your google meta tag MUST go in the top of this box at the very start or it wont work. Add the meta tag and save."

There isnt a box for meta tags under >>>Display>>>Homepage>>>General?

I also followed this one:

"Copy meta tag mentioned and paste it into your admin panel>> View>> Home>> General>> Referencing: metatags>> Other meta tags. Then save."

I do not have >> View>> Home>> General>> Referencing: metatags>> Other meta tags, I do however have >>General>>Forum Promotion>>Search Engines>>Other metatags. I copied it there but verification fails.

I've been trying for a couple of weeks already, can somebody please tell me what I am doing wrong?

Correction, I've been trying since 19 days ago.

Sorry for not editing the first post, if I knew I will get a rude response for posting a second time then I would not have done it. There was no need to bump my post in the first place because it was right at the top to begin with, so I dont really see your point?
