Can i hide some Categories and forums of my forum?

I mean, my 4rum has some Categories and forums that i don't want another person to see it, I mean i want to hide that Category/Forum for a short time, and it will show back again when i want?

If there are no way to do this, can i lock my 4rum for a short time so that no one can log in to it?

You can set permissions to categories so only admins can see it. After, if you want to reveal it by just changeing the settings.
To do your settings, go to:
Admin panel >> General >> Categories and forums >> Clik on next to forum you want to do settings for, make your settings and save.

Or you can lock your forum by going to Admin Panel >> General >> Forum in construction : yes.
Admins can enter.
