Narrowing navigation button space

Well I added new images into the navigation bit and now it has spaces between them? How do i remove, shorten the space?

oh no that's not the forum I mean. I just need a small code to narrow the gap.
I'm making a forum and don't want anyone to know about it until I release.

I had the same problem but it was because i got rid of my search, faq, groups etc..

this is strange, do the images by extend beyong the grey border (top and bottom lines)
