Try this code
Code:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2">
2 : you can change this as you wish, it's 2 second.
----------------------------------
Edit:
In case your "frontpage of the forum" is portal, you can add that code in a portal widget. If you choose a HTML page as your homepage you can add code above between <head> </head>

In addition to eagle8x's post, you need to post in your homepage message. To find it, please go to:

1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Display Tab
3. Generalities (on the left, under Homepage)
4. Paste the code in the "Homepage message" section

Very Happy

This isn't a pre-made HTML page as such. It has been made via forumotion.
Does this code still count?

I strongly recommend not to use meta refresh codes if you're going to include it in your homepage.

Search engines will read it as a spam attempt, Wink

Thanks for the information. Do you have justifications for the same, so members are aware of it?

Also do you have any other option to avoid it then with some other way?

Spammers normally used it to spam and trick search engine bots to be redirected to another website.

Now, it's ignored like meta keywords and those other meta tags that spammers used to get their pages on top searches on Google.

The correct way to permanently move a page is to set up a 301 redirect. ( but, forumotion doesn't give us access to our .htaccess file )

On ForuMotion, if you want to move a page, just remove the content from the page and add a link to the new page, Wink

It could mean though, that video's like Youtube forum music or widgets might reset every 2 seconds and not be fully playable/useable Smile
