Re: Auto Page Refresh
Try this code
----------------------------------
Edit:
In case your "frontpage of the forum" is portal, you can add that code in a portal widget. If you choose a HTML page as your homepage you can add code above between <head> </head>
- Code:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2">

Re: Auto Page Refresh
In addition to eagle8x's post, you need to post in your homepage message. To find it, please go to:
1. Administration Panel (advanced mode)
2. Display Tab
3. Generalities (on the left, under Homepage)
4. Paste the code in the "Homepage message" section

Re: Auto Page Refresh
This isn't a pre-made HTML page as such. It has been made via forumotion.
Does this code still count?

I strongly recommend not to use meta refresh codes if you're going to include it in your homepage.
Search engines will read it as a spam attempt,

Thanks for the information. Do you have justifications for the same, so members are aware of it?Master Marc wrote:I strongly recommend not to use meta refresh codes if you're going to include it in your homepage.

Also do you have any other option to avoid it then with some other way?

Re: Auto Page Refresh
Spammers normally used it to spam and trick search engine bots to be redirected to another website.Sanket wrote:Thanks for the information. Do you have justifications for the same, so members are aware of it?

Now, it's ignored like meta keywords and those other meta tags that spammers used to get their pages on top searches on Google.
The correct way to permanently move a page is to set up a 301 redirect. ( but, forumotion doesn't give us access to our .htaccess file )
On ForuMotion, if you want to move a page, just remove the content from the page and add a link to the new page,

Re: Auto Page Refresh
It could mean though, that video's like Youtube forum music or widgets might reset every 2 seconds and not be fully playable/useable
Re: Auto Page Refresh
Thanks Master Marc, can i put this code in Forum widgets management not in homepage or is the same thing and Search engines will read it as a spam attempt ?
