Quote/Bold problems

I'm not the smartest when it comes to this, but when people are trying to bold, enlarge or quote a text, instead of going into the quote/enlarging/bolding the text all it does is put in the thingy. So if I were quoteing something it would say

(quote="name")Text (/quote)

I used () instead of [] so you guys would know what I was talking about. So it puts in the code part instead of putting the text into a box or whatever, and when you bold, it won't bold but just show the command that you tried to bold.

Any ideas?

You might have turned off BBCode.

You can check to see if it is enabled/disabled here:

Admin Control Panel ==> General ==> Messages and Emails ==> Configuration:

Allow BBCode: Make sure this is set to yes.
