Static URL for Facebook Login

Post by lbautista on April 13th 2011, 9:08 pm

I am trying to add the Facebook Login to my forum and I was asked for a static url. Will this be my forum address or my website address. Neither ends with /.

Thanks for your help,

Jon, for La Voz Bautista.

Even if Facebook says is requieres a /

Post by lbautista on April 13th 2011, 10:11 pm

For example my forum is http://foro.lavozbautista.com . There is no forward slash. I updated my application with this address in Facebook. I will wait to see what happens.

At first I put in http://foro.lavozbautista.com/ and when I try to connect with facebook it gives an error message. It says the the address lavozbautista.foroactivo.com is not authorized for this application. It also says PI Error Code: 191 API Error Description: The specified URL is not owned by the application
Error Message: redirect_uri is not owned by the application.

Thanks again for your help.

http://foro.lavozbautista.com/ is the correct address

Facebook might be able to make the application work because you need the secret key which will be found on the app page.

If you face anymore problems, we can't do much since Facebook does updating and faces problems from time to time.
