Moderation Queue
Hello guys,
I'm going to be talking one main topic today, Moderation Queue. Ask yourself, What's a Moderation Queue? Of course, the answer is where a forum/user is under moderation, meaning a moderator has to approve/decline the post publishing.
I'm going to start off with our first topic, Sub-Forum Queue. What we want to active Moderation Queue on a sub-forum, rather than making the whole forum under this power. When we publish a forum, we can decide true of false whenever that sub-forum is under moderation. Any posts that are going to be published under the sub-forum MUST be approved by moderators or administrators. Not only it does that, but adds a new task to "Actions" like the link saying "Check Queue" which will lead you to a new page with posts waiting. As well accepted/declined posts.
Our second topic focuses on User Queue. This is totally different from the Sub-forum Queue, but it only affects ONE USER not EVERYONE. A moderator has to approve each post they want to publish. This process can eliminate more spam, less rule-breakers and others. To put someone under this Queue, the moderators must ask the administrators to install the user to the User Queue in the Admin Console. (This will be talked later on.) When the user is added, anymore posts forward that time will need approval or declined.
As I mentioned above, there will be a new tab under Users & Groups called "Member Queues". This pulls up a whole list of people, as well accept/decline the plugin. It is off by default. If someone wants to set the sub-forum under queue, they will have to modify it's content and tick the box to "true" for Moderation Queue. It is also off by default.
Speak out your opinion about this, and some pros & cons about this feature. Also, please take a vote! Thank you.
