Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
Hi.
It's been a while since I've used forumotion, and recently I made a new forum. Now, I can't remember where to edit the space taken from a small post like the example below
Where can I fix this?

Hey bud
I've heard that it's possible to remove the excess space from the posts, but it was some extreme coding from what I've heard. Ill ask to see if I can get the info's again for you
Oh, it would only be possible on PunBB & PHPBB2, I've seen it on a PHPBB2 forum previously.

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
Are you talking about the space in the post or the sig,
I think the post will just have the standers space even if you was just to have one word or letter,
As far as the sig space, i think you have to make sure you don't have any space in the sig box when creating it,However, it looks like your sig space is fine.
Other then that please explain a lil more what you mean, if it's for post can you try to add a couple images or pharagragh so i can see if it's adding additionally unnecessary space.

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
So the excess of space of a simple post can't be removed in Invision? Damn. Well, I guess I'll just have to live with it.
Thanks anyways, and hi Darren! ^_^

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
The empty space in a post refers to how far down the User information goes on the side of the post.
If you take a look at this forum, the post ends where all the user information ends on the right hand side. Hence even is this post was one word long, my post would still be the same height as the User info on the right.

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
Agree, you could remove it in viewtopic_body template, or do it so the height of the post part depends on the words and lines written if you put the profile on the top of the posts ( http://i.imm.io/5s9i.png - phpBB2 ) but not invasion. Cuting posters informations display in posts would help + limiting the size of avatars.LGforum wrote:The empty space in a post refers to how far down the User information goes on the side of the post.

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
can it be done in phpbb3; I am not afraid of extreme coding...
As far as I observe the ATLEAST length of a post is the height of your profile column...am I right

Re: Unnecessary Posts Take Too Much Space
All right, I got it reduced. So the avatar was the one that made me see this big empty space. Thanks everyone.
