I need to change how the Quote looks like. I want to change it to the ones that you use in this forum. My version is phpbb2 and the pic of my quote looks like this Change Quote Appearance Akke10

For that you will need to use phpbb3.

If I do that will it change my forum appearance and skin?

UPDATE: I did it and it totally changed my forum appearance! Then I had to backup my forum! How do I change the version WITHOUT any other information to be changed?

Just changing the version will make your skin buggy. You need to install skins from hitskin.com for whichever version they are created on.
