Lock entire forum?

Hello, is it possible to lock an entire forum for an unlimited time so only the admin (me) can access it?

Change the permissions to view the forum.
General>Categories and Forums
Click on a forum name
Permissions tab.

View the forum: Check only for admins.
Save.

You can only lock for 24 hours, and you will need to make sure you re check that option if you want it longer.

you have 2 other options (forum on holiday or under construction)based on what exactly you are trying to accomplish or the reason(s) behind it.
acp>general>configuration> scroll down and you'll see them both> you can view the description of the option(s) via the "?" located to the left.
